OMG, half a year has gone by already. Can you believe it? Hello, my friends, I made a promise to myself that I would create a blog. One that I could send out once a month. One that people would love to read. That didn’t work, so I will make an effort to get my backside into gear and get my blog out, as often as I can. Good News: I mentioned in my last blog post that I had finished my work in progress and was building up the nerve to send it. Well, I did. I pulled my big girl knickers up to my chin and sent it off. So now, I’m beyond thrilled to announce that I have signed a contract with Rowan Prose Publishing, for my Contemporary Romantic Suspense Novel, titled, Her Aussie Protector. The book is due for release in 2025. Rowan Prose Publishing, thank you so much for giving me this opportunity. There are exciting times ahead for us. I will add a sneak peek at the cover of my book at the end of the blog. Now, I’ve found a publisher, I have to really commit myself to being a published author. And that means advertising. So, my goal for the next half of 2024 is to learn technology, really learn it. I mean, I have basic social media skills, like Facebook, I have an Instagram account, and that’s about all I know about Instagram. My granddaughter has sat with me for a while and shared her knowledge. Bless her heart. But it was all for nothing. All she taught me; left me the minute I clicked out of the site. Note to self: when she gives me my next lesson, I need to write down step-by-step instructions. When my first book, Never Surrender, was released, I froze. I’m embarrassed to admit it, but I couldn’t tell people that I was a writer, and that I had a book published. Then when Never Surrender won the Romance Writers of Australia’s Ruby award, I still didn’t tell people. Because Imposter Syndrome suffocated me. I didn’t do a book launch until twelve months after my release date. I called it the first-year anniversary of release, launch. I’ve learned a lot since then. This time, I’m ready. Ready to learn. I’m terrified of getting it wrong, but, I know, I have great people around who will help me but If I want to sell books, people have to know that one, my name is Rosie Miles and I write Romantic Suspense, and two, where they can find my books. So, I’m working on keeping my www.rosiemiles.com.au website updated. I’d like to thank Aditya for all he’s done for me, with my web. I will make you proud as I learn how to navigate and edit. I also am going to create a newsletter. But, for now, I’ll blog more frequently. Make my Facebook post more interesting. And basically, get my name out there. Another thing I'd like to try, is podcasts. I reckon they'd be a fun way to get to know other authors, and let others, get to know me. Until next time, remember Life is for living, Go live yours. : Love Rosie.
